Community Water and Sanitation Program

Our Community Water and Sanitation Program (CWSP) is a vital initiative focused on improving water and sanitation access in rural communities. It consists of two key projects: the Safe Drinking Water Project and the Pit-Latrine & Kitchen Improvement Project. The Safe Drinking Water Project ensures clean and safe water through source protection, treatment, and community awareness. On the other hand, the Pit-Latrine & Kitchen Improvement Project enhances sanitation with latrine construction, kitchen hygiene promotion, and behavior change communication.

These efforts lead to reduced waterborne diseases, improved health, and economic stability in our communities. We prioritize community involvement, empowering residents to take ownership of these initiatives for long-term sustainability. Our CWSP has a positive impact on living conditions, environmental health, and overall well-being, making a significant difference in rural areas. We are committed to improving the health and well-being of rural communities through our Community Water and Sanitation Program (CWSP). This program is central to our efforts to address critical health challenges related to water and sanitation, especially in rural areas where access to clean water and proper sanitation facilities is limited.

School children travel close to 2 miles to find water for cleaning, washing, and cooking  there meals. They reach school too tired however to have drinking water, it needs them Boil the water first. but since they cant access the kitchen all the time, they end up drinking water from that well.

We sought for Fundraising to have our community have access to a near by well as well as safe drinking water. We got a Grant from Rotary club of Greater Van Nuys to help support the community.
