Destiny Schools: The heart of our work
At Childcare Support & Education organization, our programs in education, health, sanitation, and livelihoods all converge at one central point: Destiny Primary and Destiny Secondary Schools. These schools are not just beneficiaries they are living projects, the places where our mission becomes visible and measurable.
Why the Schools Matter
Destiny Schools are the anchor institutions of our work. Without them, our programs would remain abstract. With them, every initiative whether child sponsorship, clean water, vocational training, or women’s enterprise support finds a home, a face, and a story.
- Education Programs: Vulnerable children study and grow here, supported through sponsorship and improved learning environments.
- Health Programs: Clean water systems, improved latrines, hygiene training, and menstrual support are implemented directly in the schools.
- Livelihood Programs: Vocational training and skill development are practiced at Destiny Secondary, equipping youth and young mothers with tools for survival.
- Community Engagement: Parents, local leaders, and caregivers gather at the schools for meetings, trainings, and outreach, making them hubs of community transformation.
The Schools as Projects
Destiny Primary and Destiny Secondary are themselves projects within our portfolio. They began as humble, rural schools one under a mango tree, the other built to extend opportunity as children grew. Today, they stand as pillars of hope, embodying every aspect of our mission: dignity, opportunity, and transformation.
The Center of Our Activities
Every report we share, every donor visit we host, and every impact we measure is reflected through the schools. They are the lens through which our work is portrayed to the world. Without Destiny Schools, our programs would lack the living proof of change. With them, our mission is not only told it is seen, felt, and sustained.
Some arrive without shoes. Some without books. But here, they all find belonging.
Destiny Secondary School
Destiny Primary and Destiny Secondary Schools are the heart of our work. They began as humble rural schools, but today they stand as living proof that transformation is possible when communities, donors, and Childcare Support & Education Organisation work together
Our Vision for Expansion
What we have achieved at Destiny Schools can also be achieved in other community schools facing similar challenges. Destiny serves as a practical model and learning hub, showing what is possible when education, health, sanitation, and livelihoods are addressed together.
Our vision is to expand this support to more rural schools so that:
Vulnerable children can learn in safe, dignified classrooms
Girls can stay in school with access to proper sanitation and menstrual support
Communities can benefit from clean water and hygiene education
Youth and women can gain practical livelihood skills through school-based training initiatives
Why This Matters
Without schools, our programs have no anchor. With schools, every intervention education, health, sanitation, and livelihoods has a clear entry point and a human face.
Destiny Schools pioneered this integrated approach. Our goal now is to replicate it across other rural schools, extending impact, stability, and hope to more communities across Kazo District and beyond.
