USA Project Office
Building global partnerships for rural Uganda.
The USA Project Office strengthens Childcare Support & Education Organisation's work in rural Uganda by coordinating international partnerships, fundraising, donor engagement, grant support, and financial accountability.
Based in Van Nuys, California, the office connects Childcare's community-led work in Kazo District with individuals, families, Rotary clubs, foundations, corporations, charities, volunteers, and institutions in the United States and around the world.
Through the USA Project Office, supporters can contribute confidently to education, safe water and sanitation, rural school improvement, youth skills development, and livelihood opportunities for vulnerable communities in Uganda.
What the USA Project Office Does
The USA Project Office supports Childcare's international operations by:
- Building relationships with individual donors, sponsors, families, foundations, Rotary clubs, corporations, charities, and institutional partners
- Identifying grant opportunities aligned with Childcare's Education, WaSH, and Livelihoods programs
- Supporting the preparation of grant applications, concept notes, budgets, proposals, presentations, and partnership documents
- Coordinating fundraising campaigns for child sponsorship, school improvement, safe water, sanitation, and youth-skills projects
- Managing donor communication, appreciation, updates, and partnership follow-up
- Receiving and processing tax-deductible gifts through Childcare's US 501(c)(3) nonprofit entity
- Coordinating online donations, monthly giving, sponsorship contributions, bank transfers, and in-kind donations
- Supporting donor reporting through photographs, field updates, financial summaries, beneficiary stories, and project-completion reports
- Reviewing financial and activity reports received from the Uganda Field Office
- Supporting compliance with US nonprofit obligations, donor requirements, and financial-accountability practices
- Maintaining donor records and developing a stronger donor-management system as the organisation grows
- Coordinating international volunteers, skilled professionals, and technical partners interested in supporting Childcare's programs
Connecting Donors to Real Community Needs
The USA Project Office works closely with the Uganda Field Office to ensure that fundraising is connected to genuine, assessed community needs.
The Uganda Field Office identifies needs, develops projects, prepares budgets, and implements activities. The USA Project Office helps communicate those opportunities to potential partners and mobilise support. Together, the two offices create a transparent partnership cycle:

The USA Project Office mobilises partnerships for Childcare's three core programs:
Child Support & Rural Schools Improvement
Supporting vulnerable children with education requirements while helping rural schools improve classrooms, desks, kitchens, learning materials, and safer school environments.
Safe Water, Sanitation & Hygiene for Rural Schools
Mobilising support for safe drinking water systems, boreholes, water-point rehabilitation, modern pit latrines, handwashing facilities, menstrual-health support, and hygiene education.
Youth & Women Skills Development & Livelihoods
Supporting vocational training, tailoring machines, hairdressing materials, carpentry tools, entrepreneurship training, mentoring, savings groups, and start-up pathways for youth and women.
