Dear Friend,

Thank you for taking the time to visit Childcare Support & Education Organisation. Whether you are here as a potential donor, a partner organisation, a volunteer, or simply someone who cares about the wellbeing of children in rural Uganda, I am grateful you are here.

I founded Childcare in 2014, but the reasons behind it go back much further than that. I know what it means to lose everything as a child and to depend entirely on the kindness of others to survive. That experience shaped everything I have built since, and it is why I cannot look at a child without a place to learn, a school without safe water, or a young person without a path forward, and simply walk away.

What began as a handful of benches under a tree has grown into a organisation working across three connected areas: supporting vulnerable children through education, ensuring rural schools have safe water and sanitation, and equipping youth and women with the practical skills to build a livelihood. None of these stand alone. A child cannot learn in an unsafe school. A family cannot keep a child in school without some means of income. Real change requires all three.

We are honest about where we are. Childcare has been through seasons of dormancy and seasons of growth, and we are transparent about both our achievements and the work still ahead of us. What has never changed is our commitment to the children and communities we serve, and our belief that education, safe water, and dignified work are not luxuries. They are the foundation everything else is built on.

If you choose to partner with us, whether through a gift, your time, your expertise, or simply by sharing our story, you become part of that foundation too. On behalf of the children, families, and communities we serve, thank you.
