Where the work meets the people
In many villages, children walk long distances to collect water from rivers or unprotected sources. By the time they arrive at school, they are often tired and carrying water that may not be safe to drink. This affects both health and learning.
From this office, the team supports children to return to school, works with young mothers, improves access to clean water and safe sanitation, and delivers livelihood training for youth and women. The office also prepares program budgets, tracks expenditures, and compiles financial and activity reports for submission to our USA Operations Office.
By remaining close to the communities we serve, the Uganda Country Office ensures that all programs respond to local needs and are carried out with care, accountability, and consistency.
Rooted in Uganda and accountable in the United States, our two offices work closely together. The Uganda Country Office leads our work in schools and communities, while the U.S. Operations Office oversees transparency, reporting, and donor accountability
The Uganda Field Office is made up of people who live and work in the same communities we serve. Our team understands local realities because they experience them every day. Staff work closely with school head teachers, parent groups, local council leaders, and youth representatives to ensure support reaches those who need it most.
Our approach is simple. We listen first, learn from the community, and adjust our work to local needs. This helps build trust and encourages community involvement in every program.
While funding and international coordination are handled by our USA Project Office, the Uganda Field Office is where all support is put into action. From classrooms and school health clubs to water wells and livelihood training, this is where programs are delivered and communities see real, practical results.
